SPRINGFIELD — Boys golf sectional tournaments for the fall teed off on Tuesday.

Andrew Burkett of Greeneview qualified for districts from the Division II tournament held at Reid Park North in Springfield on Wednesday. Burkett shot 83 to finish in a tie for 15th overall. His score was fourth highest for individuals not already on a qualifying team which allowed him to advance.

The Rams finished in sixth place of the 15 teams with a 351 score. Drew Brown shot 86 from the fifth spot, Hagan Witt had a 90 and Braeden Gill shot 92.

The D-II district tournament will be held on Oct. 1 at Pipestone Golf Club in Miamisburg.

In the D-III tournament Tuesday at Shelby Oaks in Sidney, Cedarville came in ninth place with a score of 372. Luke Wallis shot 78 and made a playoff for the final individual qualifying position but was not able to advance. Xavier Pauling shot 82, Luke Moore had a 99 and Jacob Lide shot 113.

Multi-goal games by Reese Brown and Kenley Minch pushed Beavercreek ahead for the win.

Natalie Miller had four saves for Beavercreek.

Xenia had nearly 20 saves in the match. Lily Mackiewicz had eight and Macie Wright got 12.

The Patrios trailed 2-1 before winning the final sets both by two points to pull out the win.

Grace Dooley and Aaliyah Tevis had double digit kills, and Leah Casas got 44 assists in the match.

Fairborn 3, Xenia 0

The Skyhawks cruised to a straight set win at home.

LakaiyaJo Champaco had 30 digs in the match and Lille Walters added 11.

Piqua 3, Xenia 1

A close match saw Xenia prevail in the first set and unable to get key points afterward.

Railynn Browder had 12 assists and 10 digs in the loss.

Beavercreek 1, Fairmont 0

The Beavers won a showdown of state ranked teams and remain undefeated.

Noah Trimmer fired in a goal from near the top of the box in the first half.

Oakwood 1, Bellbrook 0

The defeat was the first in SWBL play for Bellbrook.

Grant Driskell made three saves for the Golden Eagles.

Carroll 1, CJ 0

A goal by Jackson Schumann was enough for the Patriots to get the win.

Carroll is 10-0-1 this season.

Yellow Springs 4, Miami East 2

Two goals by Landon Harris pushed the Bulldogs ahead.

Grayson Horn assisted twice. Wyatt Fagan made four saves.

Bellbrook’s run of being unbeaten to start the season ended at 10 games.

Two goal games by Daylee Sandlin and Mya Simpson helped keep the Rams undefeated.

Keeley Anderson made two saves to perserve the shutout.

Hat tricks for both Alli Graves and Claire Solomon were part of a big night for LCA.

Anna Sweeney got three assists in the match.

Bellbrook swept the singles matches with Tory Brown, Lola Brown and Chloe Hangen getting wings.

Destiny Duncan had 10 kills in the win.
