Two assistant prosecutors join Greene County

XENIA — The Greene County Prosecutor’s Office recently added two new assistant prosecutors.

Steven E. Elliott was sworn in on Aug. 12, and Brian B. Gravunder was sworn in Aug. 14 by Greene County Prosecuting Attorney David D. Hayes.

Elliott has been hired as the new chief of the Child Support Enforcement Division. He has been practicing law for more than 30 years and is a long-time resident of the Miami Valley. He graduated from Wright State University with a bachelor of arts in history and obtained his law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law.

Elliott has worked primarily in private practice handling a wide variety of civil and criminal matters. He has practiced in more than 20 counties in Ohio and in 11 states and one U.S. territory. He will be responsible for ensuring that the Greene County Child Support Enforcement Agency receives exceptional legal services, and that those who are not paying child support are held accountable.

Gravunder has been hired as an attorney in the office’s Civil Division. He received his bachelor of arts in communication from the University of Dayton in 2010 and juris doctorate from Ave Maria School of Law in 2013. While in law school he was the editor-in-chief of the Ave Maria International Law Journal and externed with the Charlotte Harbor National Estuary Program.

Gravunder most recently served as an assistant prosecutor with the City of Dayton. Prior to working for Dayton, Gravunder spent several years in private practice handling civil matters. He will be responsible for representing elected officials and government agencies in Greene County.

Gravunder is a resident of Dayton. In his spare time, he volunteers for the Dayton Bar Association Wills for Heroes and Wills for Vets programs.
