FAIRBORN — The National Museum of the United States Air Force is putting on a Wings, Rails and Wheels Model Expo on Saturday, Aug. 24.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to attend and see the display and learn about model making.

The display features hundreds of aircraft, locomotives, and motor vehicles scaled down to miniature size. Model makers will be around the display while it’s open to answer questions about model making and the process of accurately scaling down complex vehicles.

No registration is required to attend this special exhibit, which will be in the museum at 1100 Spaatz Street.
