Fairborn to begin road repair Tuesday

FAIRBORN — Due to a repair, a section of roadway located in front of Fairborn Primary School, 4 W. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road, will be closed off to traffic beginning at 6 a.m. Tuesday, June 16.

The project’s anticipated completion is 4 p.m. on either June 18 or 19, weather permitting.

The purpose of the repair is to complete a permanent road repair to an area with base failure (cracked or fractured) that has developed in front of the school. The roadwork involves excavation, removal of damaged asphalt and a depth of sub-base, complete permanent base repair and paving.

All eastbound traffic will be routed to Ironwood Drive onto Funderburg Road, and then to the Five Points intersection for through traffic. Westbound traffic will be maintained throughout the project.
