FAIRBORN — Motorists who travel State Route 235/Xenia Drive from Interstate 675 into Fairborn will face re-routing as the roadway is scheduled for a three day closure at the railroad track.

Norfolk Southern Railroad notified the City of Fairborn that they must make emergency repairs to the railway, and vehicles will not be able to cross the tracks beginning Wednesday, Aug. 3 through Saturday, Aug. 6. In the event of bad weather, the closure may remain in effect through Monday, Aug. 8.

Drivers coming from I-675 will need to exit at either the Dayton-Yellow Springs Road exit, one exit south of State Route 235, or the Broad Street/State Route 444 exit, one exit north of SR 235, when heading toward downtown Fairborn.

Northbound traffic on SR 235 will be re-routed through Yellow Springs-Fairfield Road and Black Lane up to Broad Street. Southbound traffic on SR 235 will be re-routed through SR 444 and W. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road.
