BEAVERCREEK — Visitors to Russ Nature Reserve in Beavercreek can now take advantage of several new accessibility features at the park, thanks to some sweat effort put in by University of Dayton students over the last few months. The work came courtesy of members of Epsilon Tau Pi, an Eagle Scout fraternity dedicated to brotherhood, service and the principles of scouting.

Through the fraternity’s work, a retaining wall, a trail ramp, a low-walk bridge and steps were added to the park. The new features can be found at the newest phase of the Lovely Nature PlayScape, which features nature-based, free-play areas for children visiting the park.

Russ Nature Reserve, 2380 Kemp Road, Beavercreek, is Greene County Parks and Trails’ newest park site and features hiking trails, a nature playscape, bee apiary, tree nursery, pond, high-fence garden and more.
