UPDATE: Crash details released

BEAVERCREEK — Beavercreek police Feb. 21 released the name of the driver in the double fatal accident that clogged Interstate 675 Feb. 18.

Muhammad Arsalan Khan, 30, of Beavercreek, was ejected from his vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, according to a release from the department. Police said Khan was traveling north on the highway at a high rate of speed when he lost control and went off the left side of the road. The vehicle struck the cable barrier in the median and went more than 700 feet before coming to a stop.

A male passenger, Torre Wooten Jr., 21, of Fairborn, was transported to Soin Medical Center and later transferred to Kettering Medical Center where he died Feb. 19.

The crash remains under investigation. Police are asking any witnesses to contact officers Matt Hickey or Tim Lammert at 937-426-1225.
