‘Jackets win Cedarville Invite

BEAVERCREEK — Medalist Taylor Holt finished three-under par and the Yellow Jackets stormed to a 35-stroke victory in the Cedarville Invitational, March 28 at Country Club of the North.

Cedarville shot 288-302—590 which is the fourth-best 36-hole team score in school history. Runner-up Fairmont State totaled 315-310—625.

Holt carded a career-low 69-72—141 on a soggy 6,713-yard, par 72 CCN layout. His performance ties for the third-best 36-hole score ever by a Yellow Jacket.

Holt was joined on the all-tournament team by Carter Ehms. He turned in 69-78—147 to finish fourth.

Jordan Reese was seventh at 72-77—149 while John Sandlas was ninth with a 78-75—153. Jared Hoelzen tied for 12th at 78-79—157.

Three Yellow Jackets played as individuals. The trio included Jeremy Royer (76-81—157), Hayden James (77-89—166), and Jacob Adams (83-86—169).

Next Up: April 3-4 at NCAA Division II Midwest Regional No. 3 in Old Hickory, Tenn.
