NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Wright State softball team led 3-0 early, only to see Lipscomb score five times in the third en route to a 7-5 decision Wednesday afternoon at Draper Diamond.

The Raider offense got off to a fast start in the first as Honnah Susor walked, Macey Gunther singled and Vivi Marquez followed with a three-run home run to left center, her second of the season.

Lipscomb, though, scored a run in the second and added five more in the third to go up 6-3.

WSU tallied a run in the sixth on a Libby Pfeffer RBI single, but the Bison answered with a run of their own in the bottom of the inning.

Wright State scored a run in the seventh as Susor tripled to center and Gunther singled to left and had the potential tying runs on base when the game ended.

Wright State (2-9) competes this weekend at the Blues City Classic in Memphis, taking on Tennessee State (12:15) and Louisiana Tech (2:30) on Friday, Belmont (10:00) and Memphis (4:45) on Saturday and Tennessee State again on Sunday (12:15).
