Cedarville University ranked no. 8
CEDARVILLE — The five-time Great Midwest Athletic Conference champion Cedarville University is rated no. 8 in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division II Women’s Cross Country Coaches National Poll as of Wednesday, Oct. 26.
Top-ranked Adams State (Colo.) earned seven first-place votes while Midwest Region member Grand Valley State (Mich.) was awarded the other one. Four other region schools appear in this week’s top 25. The quartet includes no. 6 Southern Indiana, no. 10 Northern Michigan, no. 11 Hillsdale (Mich.), and no. 22 Bellarmine (Ky.).
Cedarville is scheduled to compete in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional at 12:45 p.m. Nov. 5 in Evansville, Ind.

Meet the FHS girls basketball team
FAIRBORN — The Fairborn girls basketball team will be introduced from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 in the Fairborn Baker Middle School Gymnasium. The Fairborn Skyhawks youth basketball teams, Baker Middle School seventh- and eighth-grade teams, Fairborn High School junior varsity and the Fairborn varsity team will all be introduced to the public and will demonstrate their skills. There will be concessions available, a 50/50 raffle, prizes and more.
