CU hosts All-Ohio Cross Country

CEDARVILLE — Cedarville University will host the All-Ohio Intercollegiate Cross Country Championships for the seventh consecutive year Friday, Sept. 30.

Billed as the largest intercollegiate meet in the state of Ohio, it will be staged at the school’s Elvin R. King Cross Country Course on State Route 72 just north of the village.

The women’s 6K race is scheduled for 2 p.m. with the men’s 8K 2:45 p.m. A total of 48 schools encompassing all divisions from around the state are entered.

More than 1,300 runners are expected to compete in the two championships races as well as the Women’s Open race 3:30 p.m. and the Men’s Open 4:15 p.m. Awards will be held 5:15 p.m.

Ohio State is the defending men’s overall champion while Ohio University is the defending overall champion in the women’s division. Parking at the course for all fans is $7 per vehicle.
