XENIA — Lucille Cowan was an active member of many organizations including United Voluntary Services, YMCA and especially Xenia Business and Professional Women’s Club. She and her husband Carl owned Cowan-Williamson Furnace Company and then later she was the proprietor of Lucille’s Gift and Beauty Shop. Born in Indiana in 1905, she volunteered thousands of hours in Greene County until her death in 1993.
