The Greene County Fish and Game Association held its annual fishing derby and casting contest, Saturday July 12. The derby had 39 kids compete for trophies, ribbons and other prizes. The casting contest had nearly 30 participants, a number that happily the Fish and Game members.


The fishing derby had participants from ages 3-15 and included: Hunter Bolton, Ulric Gampt, Brody Reed, Anthony Cassanio, Grace Dresher, Ethan Williams, Kyle Miller, Olivia Taylor, Austin Hudgel, Renee Reed, Derrian Funkhouser, Danielle Dresher, Katie Drake, Kayleyn Damron, Alexis Stritenberger, Nick Williams, Alison Cassanio, Caleb Miller, Emma Dresher, Caden Robertson, Rachel Gibson, Kyla Helmuth, Alyssa Williams, Abigail Damron, MichaelStritenberger, Katie Dresher, Zane Eneix, James Carroll, Kalob Hudgel, Ethyn Biggs, Isaac Gompf, Jacob Gillum, Blake Eneix, Ralph Younker, Jacob Stritenberger, Spencer Younker, Angelica Heggem, and Dalton Gibson.


The casting contest group ranged from 4-17 and included: Anthony Cassanio, Grace Dresher, Ethan Williams, Renee Reed, Austi Hudgel, Kyle Miller, Katie Drake, Derrian Funkhouser, Dani Dresher, Alexis Stritenberger, Kaylyn Damron, Nick Williams, Alison Cassanio, Rachel Gibson, Caden Robertson, Caleb Miller, Michael Stritenberger, Emma Dresher, Alyssa Williamson, Kyla Helmuth, Abigail Damron, Zane Eneix, Katie Dresher, James Carroll, Kalob Hudgel, Ethyn Biggs, Ralph Younker, Spencer Younker, Angeica Heggem, and Adlyn Couch.


All area youth are welcome to participate in all events left for this year, and in the new season in May, 2015.
