FAIRBORN — Exciting and fun programs for people of all ages are being planned at the Fairborn Community Library, 1 E. Main St. To register for programs call 937-878-9383.


Story Times


Baby & Me Story Time, ages 3-12 months with adult, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays, Aug. 20 and 27.


Wonderful “Ones” Story Time, ages 12-24 months with adult, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Fridays, Aug. 15, 22, and 29.


Toddler Story Time, ages 24-36 months with adult, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Fridays, Aug. 15, 22 and 29.


Preschool Story Time, ages 3-6 with adult, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays, Aug. 20 and 27, and 12:30 p.m. Thursdays, Aug. 14, 21 and 28.


Sensory Play Date, ages 0-2 with an adult, will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23. Registration required.


PJ Story Time, ages 3-6 with adult, will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25.


Children’s Programs


R is for Robot: A Noisy Alphabet Book—Meet the Author, ages 3-11, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14. Adam Watkins, the Ohio author and illustrator of the new alphabet book, R is for Robot, will visit the library to talk about his book and how he made it.


Movie Matinee: “The LEGO Movie”, for all ages, will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16. An ordinary LEGO figure must save the world.


Fox and Sox and Sneetches, Too!, will be held from 4:30-5:15 p.m. and 6:30-7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19. Favorite performer Jim Kleefeld whisks you away into a magical, Seusical world. Fans of Dr. Seuss will love every whimsical moment of this program. Registration required.


Teen Programs


Teen programs are for participants ages 12-18.


D.I.Y. Wednesday will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27. Feeling crafty? Get creative with this month’s do-it-yourself project. Registration required.


Adult Programs


Adult programs are for participants ages 18 and older.


One-on-One Computer Assistance will be held every Friday afternoon. Staff and volunteers help you get something done on the computer. Open an attachment. Send a resume. They will help set you up language learning, ebook devices; Excel and other coursework is available, too. Call the reference desk to book your appointment. Registration required.


Essential Oils for Health & Wellness, 6-class series, will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Aug. 14 and 28. Learn to use certified pure, therapeutic grade, essential oils for your family’s health. Registration required.


Life on the Ohio Frontier will be held from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16. Mercer-Smith Historical Park presents seasonal crafts, pioneer skills, and Ohio History hands-on. A great family experience. Adults are welcome to bring youth to this program, but no unattended children please. Registration required.


Library Knitting Group will meet from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25. These friendly knitters welcome all skill levels. They knit, talk, and share tips and new techniques. Expert Joann McKee teaches advanced skills as well. Registration required.


Mystery Book Discussion Group will meet from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27. Love a Mystery? So do we. Let’s talk. Registration required.
