FAIRBORN 86, LEBANON 61: Jordan Michael tossed in a game-high 31 points to lead Fairborn (4-5, 2-1 GWOC South) to Friday’s Greater Western Ohio Conference win at Fairborn’s Memorial Fieldhouse. Excluding Saturday’s 80-74 road win over Cincinnati Western Hills, Michael has now scored 31, 32 and 31 points in his previous three games. Skyhawks teammates Malik Jacobs and Jordan Pumroy also finished with double-figure scoring with 19 and 16 points respectively.

BEAVERCREEK 53, SPRINGFIELD 49: The visiting Battling Beavers increased a narrow one-point halftime lead into a win by outscoring the host Wildcats 22-19 in the third quarter. Both teams played even with 14 points each in the final quarter of play. Airius Moore led Beavercreek (10-1, 3-0 Greater Western Ohio Conference, Central Division) with 14 points, Tyler Reasoner pitched in with 13, and Jarred Waters finished with 11 in Friday’s win.

FRANKLIN 78, BELLBROOK 51: With University of Kentucky men’s basketball coach John Calipari on hand to watch, Franklin phenom Luke Kennard scored a school-record 53 points to lead the host Wildcats (8-2, 4-0) to Saturday’s Southwestern Buckeye League, Southwestern Division win. Evan Crowe also scored in double figures for Franklin with 13 points. There were no individual stats provided for Bellbrook (5-2, 4-1).

CARROLL 60, DAYTON CHRISTIAN 47: Xander Smart scored 26 points, and David Ivey added 22, to lead Carroll to Saturday’s road win over Dayton Christian. Smart, who averages 14.7 points a game thus far this season, earlier had a 32-point game against the Patriots’ other Metro Buckeye Conference opponent, Miami Valley. Ivey is averaging 16.4 ppg thus far.

XENIA CHRISTIAN 79, PLEASANT HILL NEWTON 58: Five Ambassador players scored in double figures in Saturday’s road win over Newton. Peter Wilson (18 points), Jordan Freeman (16), Justin Martin and Josh Sotlar (14 each) and Gabe Woodard (10 points) led the way. Xenia Christian (5-3, 2-2 Metro Buckeye Conference) broke open a tight contest by outscoring the Indians 20-8 in the third quarter.

SOUTH CHARLESTON SOUTHEASTERN 48, GREENON 39: Aiden Stockton scored a team-high 13 points and hauled in a team-high nine rebounds in Saturday’s road loss in South Charleston. Tyler Restau finished with nine points and Chase Green had eight in the loss. Greenon is 1-7 overall, 1-2 in the Central Buckeye Conference’s Mad River Division.

URBANA 69, GREENON 42: Despite Aiden Stockton’s 15-point, 10-rebound double-double performance, the Knights were unable to dig themselves out from a 20-point halftime deficit. Jacob Riegel scored 10 points and Tyler Restau added eight more for Greenon. Alex Niswonger led Urbana with a game-high 22-point effort, and teammate Nathan Mays finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds.


FAIRBORN 64, MIAMISBURG 46: Katie Profit scored 17 points, Kayla Patterson scored 16 points and Dominique Redmon added 13 to lead host Fairborn (6-6, 1-1) to Saturday’s Greater Western Ohio Conference, South Division win. Hallie Murph led Miamisburg (4-7, 1-1) with a 10-point effort.

LEBANON 72, XENIA 49: A trio of Warriors scored in double figures — Gracen Howard had 17 points while teammates Lynsee Spatz and Maygan Boetcher scored 14 each — to lead host Lebanon (8-3, 2-0 GWOC South) to Saturday’s win. There were no individual statistics reported by Xenia (2-8, 0-2 Greater Western Ohio Conference South.

BELLBROOK 60, MONROE 19: The visiting Bellbrook Golden Eagles (6-3, 5-1 Southwestern Buckeye League, Southwestern Division) held Monroe (1-9, 0-5) scoreless in the second quarter on their way to a 32-2 lead at the break. No Hornet player scored more than four points in the loss.

CARROLL 56, MIDDLETOWN FENWICK 37: The visiting Patriots outscored Fenwick in every quarter of play on Saturday. Madison Schroeder led Carroll (7-4. 3-1 Greater Catholic League, Coed Division) with a game-high 18 points, and Morgan King came off the bench to finish with 13, in the win. Katie McCarthy led the Falcons (6-4, 0-4) with 13 points.


URBANA 2,333, GREENON 2,193: Sean Freeze (348), Jason Pritchard (337) and Frankie Gmuca (328) each topped the 300-pin mark, but it wasn’t enough to upend division leading Urbana, Saturday. Greenon is now 0-8 overall, 0-7 in the Central Buckeye Conference’s Mad River Division, while Urbana leads the Mad River with a 9-1, 5-1 mark.


GREENON 1,924, INDIAN LAKE 1,532: With nine Knights bowlers rolling one game apiece, Amanda Finke and Erica Mack led the way with respective games of 164 and 163 to earn Friday’s win over winless Indian Lake. Greenon (7-1 overall, 6-1 in the Central Buckeye Conference’s Mad River Division) has now won five of its last six matches.
