BEAVERCREEK — Greene County Parks & Trails naturalists will be assisting local scouts with nature-related badges in programs that can be scheduled with the park agency. Sessions need to be scheduled four to six weeks in advance with between eight and 16 scouts participating. Badges that require posters or drawings must be completed at home.


Programs offered include:


Daisies: Being Responsible and Caring; Journey: Daisy Flower Garden


Wolf Scouts: Birds; Weather


Brownie Try-Its: Hiker; Letterboxing; Senses; Wonder of Water


Bear Scouts: Sharing Your World-Achievement; Water & Soil Conservation-Elective 15; Map & Compass-Belt Loop and Pin; Tying It All Up-Achievement 12


Junior Badges: Animal Habitats; Geocache


Webelos: Forester-Activity Badge; Naturalist-Activity Badge; Geologist-Activity Badge, Belt Loop, Pin


Tiger Scouts: Let’s Go Outside-Achievement; Feed the Birds-Elective 32; Learn About Animals-Elective 31


The cost for the program is $5 per scout, $3 per parent, and scout leaders free.
