XENIA — Don and Dora Pounds of Bellefontaine, Miss., announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Lauren Pounds, to Edward David Entsminger, son of David and Annette Entsminger of Xenia.
The bride to be is a 2001 graduate of Eupora High School and graduated from William Carry University in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in education. After serving four years overseas as a missionary in Bratislava, Slovakia, she taught as a first grade teacher in Calhoun County School. Currently she is a sixth grade math and science teacher at Sturgis Elementary School.
Edward graduated in 2004 from Xenia High School in Xenia and a bachelors of science in wildlife and fisheries conservation and management from the University of Rio Grande in Rio Grande. In addition, he graduated in May 2014 with a master’s of science in wildlife, fisheries and aquaculture sciences from Mississippi State University. Recently he worked as a research wildlife technician in Gove County, Kansas with the Federally Threatened Lesser Prairie Chickens.
The wedding will take place at Dorroh Lake Baptist Assembly in Calhoun City, Miss. on Saturday, Aug. 9 with the reception following. After the wedding the couple will live in Mississippi.
