FAIRBORN — Norfolk Southern Railroad needs to install new crossing signals at Central Avenue. The new signals will be included with the installation of an overhead catwalk. In order for them to place the catwalk, some lanes will need to be shut down for the installation which begins on Wednesday, June 11, after the morning rush, approximately 8:30 a.m. Work should be completed by noon, barring no delays and weather permitting.

‏ The first signal will have both southbound lanes closed and traffic will be transferred to the opposite side of the median so there will be one lane traveling each direction. Once that side is complete, the two northbound lanes will then be closed allowing for two way traffic on the other side of the median.

‏ For more information regarding traffic in the area, please call Engineering Division at 754-3055.
