BELLBROOK — Join Greene County Parks & Trails for an evening fishing derby from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Aug. 24 at Spring Lakes Park, 2191 Ferry Road, Bellbrook.

All anglers need to be 14 years and older. Prizes will be awarded for biggest fish (bass or bluegill), most creative bait and most fish over four inches caught.

Participants in the catch-and-release derby are not required to have a Spring Lakes permit for this event. Fisherman planning to keep fish caught during the derby or outside the derby hours will be required to have a permit.

The Bait House will be open for bait and fishing supplies. A suggested donation of $2 per participant is requested to help stock the pond.

For more information, call Greene County Parks & Trails at 937-562-6440 or email jbowman@co.greene.oh.us.
