MORAINE — A special benefit for Fairborn Primary School 2nd grader, Tyler Balance, will be held on Saturday, May 3 at Vigor Crossfit in Moraine.
Tyler, who is 8-years-old and is a student in Mrs. Welch’s class, has a cardiac condition and he is being sponsored by “A Special Wish Foundation.” His wish is to go to South Dakota for a dinosaur dig. Tyler and his parents will spend five days with a Paleontologist and dig a fossil to keep. Additionally, he will get to go back to the lab with the Paleontologist to look at the fossil in the lab.
There will be 72 teams competing Saturday at Vigor Crossfit. The teams are from Ohio and Northern Kentucky. AKP, a Crossfit gym in Fairborn, will be attending as well.
To make a donation to Tyler’s Special Wish, go to www.aspecialwish.org and make sure to reference WOD-FCS so that they know to attribute the donation to Tyler.
Thank you to April Hill, School Nurse, Fairborn High School and Baker Middle School for helping to make this event/fundraiser possible.
