XENIA — Chamber of commerce members from Greene County descended on the career center recently for the second annual All-County Chamber Chat. The event drew a capacity crowd and was hosted by the chambers from Beavercreek, Bellbrook-Sugarcreek, Cedarville, Fairborn, Jamestown, Xenia and Yellow Springs.

Career Center culinary arts students catered the event and state competition qualifiers Debbie Hall and Micah Lindsey, both from Yellow Springs, demonstrated cake decorating and garde manger. Two of Lindsey’s Mexican hot chocolate cakes were auctioned off to two lucky winners. Hall and Lindsey will compete in the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America state skills competition in Columbus this month. Chefs Dan Towson and Nicolette Cash and teaching assistant Sandy Darby supervised the student caterers.

A variety of the school’s career-technical programs were represented by displays as attendees were able to learn more about GCCC’s programs and services directly from students. Tours of the main campus on West Enon Road were also provided.
