Raye returns to support Concert for Life
CEDARVILLE — The Life Resource Centre is thrilled to welcome back country music star Collin Raye to perform in the DeVries Theatre at Cedarville University 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14.
Tickets can purchased at iTickets.com or information about the concert can be learned by calling the Life Resource Centre at 937-461-3625. Raye’s lyrics are relatable and filled with heart, accompanied by rich, full vocals destined to create an unforgettable concert that everyone can enjoy.
Some of Raye’s biggest hits include “Love, Me,” “One Boy, One Girl,” and “In This Life.” More hits can be found on Raye’s new album released in December of 2013. The album is a tribute to Glen Campbell called “Still on the Line” where Raye’s original style is mixed in with some of Campbell’s old favorites.
Collin Raye’s autobiography, A Voice Undefeated, is scheduled to hit the shelves in March of 2014. Raye is a passionate advocate for those in need, promoting and raising funds for charities including The Haley Bell Blessed Chair Foundation, Boys’ Town, Al-Anon, Catholic Relief Services, Childhelp USA, Silent Witness National Initiative, Easter Seals, and The Terri Schiavo Life and Hope Network. Raye was presented the Humanitarian of the Year award at the 2001 Country Radio Seminar for his tireless efforts to better the world.
In addition to his traditional country concerts, Raye continues to expand his music into the Catholic Christian sector including appearances at Pro-Life dinners, conferences, and church concerts. Raye’s public commitment to protecting the most vulnerable among us makes him a perfect fit for this year’s Life Resource Centre’s Concert for Life.
The Life Resource Centre is a non-profit, non-partisan organization aimed at the promotion of life and the end to the cycle of poverty through the education and support of young parents. 500 parents participate every year in the program and have the opportunity to gain knowledge, mentors, material assistance for their children, and college scholarships. Parenting Education Director Elaine Bonner stated
“Every parent and child deserves to feel loved and nurtured and our parenting classes give young moms and dads the skills to create a positive bond with their children.”
