XENIA — Recently members of the Greene County Parks and Trails Maintenance Division could be spotted grooming the 62 miles of paved, multi-use trails throughout Greene County in preparation for the Greene Trails Cycling Classic. The event will run July 17-20 and will be based at the Fairgrounds Recreation Center in Xenia. The event will feature a different trail each day with breakfast and dinner offered most nights.

Cyclists from all over the United States attend to enjoy the scenic, shady, level and well-maintained paved trails. Cyclists can sign up for one, two, three or four days for the event, which raises funds for the trail management fund. Local cyclists are encouraged to participate as a way to support the trails they enjoy all year long.

For more information on the Greene Trails Cycling Classic call Greene County Parks and Trails at 937-562-6440, email abotkin@co.greene.oh.us or visit www.gcparkstrails.com.
