Skyhawks Marching Band takes home awards

The Fairborn High School Marching Band competed this past Saturday at the Bellbrook High School Mid-States Band Association Invitational. The Skyhawk Marching Band and Guard received awards for best percussion, best colorguard, and best visual performance in Class AAA. The band and guard also won first place in Class AAA and 6th overall. District leaders feel that this is a great start for the group’s first competition of the season. The band and guard’s next performance takes place 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Bands of America Dayton Regional at Welcome Stadium.
