Sbarro returning to mall

BEAVERCREEK — The Mall at Fairfield Commons has announced that Sbarro will return to the center’s food court this May.

Best known for selling authentic New York style pizza-by-the-slice for over 60 years, the iconic brand will open with a revamped menu, new logo and refreshed dining setting.

Sbarro is the latest dining option to be announced at the mall. Gyro King will make its debut this month, March, while the highly-anticipated future openings of previously announced FUSIAN and Melt Bar & Grilled approach. These eateries join several fast-casual options at the center including Chick-fil-A, Charley’s Grilled Subs and Panera Bread, as well as full-service restaurants such as BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse, BRAVO! Cucina Italiana, Chuy’s, Red Robin and Spinoza’s Pizza & Salads.

Restaurants are not the only recent additions to Beavercreek’s one-stop family shopping, dining and entertainment destination. The mall has also exapnded its retail offerings with women’s clothing stores Vanity and francesca’s.

These are part of the mall’s ongoing redevelopment project. Phase One of the project began outside, adding a new entrance and three restaurants.

Phase Two of the project focused on the mall’s interior, including a contemporary face-lift of Center Court. Installments completed in September include a floating staircase outside JCPenney, a second set of public restrooms and family lounge, and a charging station.

The mall is located at 2727 Fairfield Commons, and is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
