Cadets graduate peace officer training

XENIA — Greene County Career Center’s adult Peace Officer Basic Training program held graduation ceremonies for its latest class of cadets. Completion of the program allows graduates to test to become certified law enforcement officers in the State of Ohio.

Cadets completing the program include: Brandon Philip Baldwin, Adam Aaron Bernard, Andrew Thomas Bishop, Alexandra Renee Brown, William Jarrod Cecil, Kyle Adam Cole, Samuel Thomas Conley, Zachary Scott Danner, Nathan Fletcher Daulbaugh, Matthew William Essex, Jeffrey Michael Goode, Ryan MacCraig Johnston, Kyle Alexander Lautzenheiser, Jordan Andrew Lee, Billie Jo Leedy, Austin Thomas List, Stanley Theodore Matuszak, Nathan Anthony McKeever, Nathaniel James Metz, Richard Elgin Neel, Frederick Donovan Newcomb, Jesse Allen Penwell, Christopher Alan Polen, Dalton Bryce Smith, Christopher Allen Sticka, Elliott Lee Sylvester, Justin Robert Thurman, Kayla Jean Webb, Homer Edward Wisecup, Heather LeeAnne Wright and Chief Stephanie Dale Hill.

Special awards were presented to the following: Squad Leaders -Austin Thomas List, Samuel Thomas Conley and Andrew Thomas Bishop; Exceptional Service Awards – Christopher Allen Sticka and Austin Thomas List; Academic Award – Andrew Thomas Bishop; Class Leader – Stanley Theodore Matuszak; Most Improved – Nathan Anthony McKeever; Top Drivers – Stanley Theodore Matuszak and Jesse Allen Penwell; Top Gun – Stanley Theodore Matuszak; and Commander’s Award – Jeffrey Michael Goode.

Additionally, four academy graduates who have recently been involved in critical situations while serving as officers were recognized. They included Katie Barnes from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Jeff Moore and Brian Adkins from Xenia Police Department and J.P. Jung from Kettering Police Department.
