XENIA — The Greene County Public Library Foundation was the recipient of a check from the Xenia Elks Lodge 668 to support the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

The program is a free gift to Greene County children from birth to their fifth birthday that provides registered children with an age-appropriate book of their own every month.

The $2,000 gift will support 80 children for one year. There are currently more than 4,400 Greene County children enrolled in the program, and more than 130,000 books have been mailed to registered children since the Greene County Library partnered with this program.

To learn more about the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and to register for this exciting program that prepares children for a successful education, visit a Greene County Library branch or visit the website at greenelibrary.info/services/imaginationlibrary.
