New season of The Valley starts Sept. 13

DAYTON – Dayton’s CW (WBDT-TV) has announced that The Valley, Dayton’s first and only locally produced hit reality show, will premiere Season 2, 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13 on Dayton’s CW.

The Valley follows eleven young adults from the Dayton, Ohio area, who are going through a rite of passage and tackling important issues along the way, including a life threatening disease, divorce, body issues, relationships and more.

“There was a lot of buzz around the show in Season 1 and we are excited to debut another exciting season of The Valley, with even more adventures and surprises,” said Joe Abouzeid, President and General Manager, WDTN-TV and WBDT-TV.”

The Valley is a reality show for young and old, which was reflected in the ratings for Season 1. The Valley achieved a 2.3 in P25-54, 2.5 in F18-49 and 2.6 in F25-54. Year-to-date The Valley has had over 15,000 views worldwide through multi-platform devices.

“No matter what your age, The Valley is quality entertainment for the entire family, added Abouzeid. “It’s truly reality with a purpose. The cast members are at that critical age where the decisions they make now have a major impact in their lives. The show is both fun and enlightening.”

The Valley Season 2 began production in May and wrapped up shooting this month. This season includes six new cast members and five returning cast members from Season 1.

Here’s a closer look at the cast members of The Valley: Aaron, 20 of Troy Attends Edison Community College; Alexys, 19 of Centerville attends University of Kentucky; Ally, 19 of Springboro attends Belmont University; Casey, 23 of Dayton, University of Dayton Graduate; Chris, 19 of Centerville attends University of Cincinnati; Don, 19, of Dayton attends International College of Broadcasting; Ellis, 20 of West Carrollton attends Wright State University; Nathan, 19 of Christiansburg attends University of Cincinnati; Noelle, 19 of Fairborn attends University of Cincinnati; Ryan, 22 of Kettering attends Wright State University; Sol, 22 of Centerville attends University of Dayton.

“This season our tag line is letting it all hang out,” said Steve Bailey, The Valley Executive Producer. “The Valley will give viewers the opportunity to experience fun, adventure, drama and even a little romance, all right in their own backyard.”
