XENIA — OSU Extension Greene County is set to host “Dining with Diabetes,” a three-session class to help locals diagnosed with diabetes.

Participants will learn about signs of diabetes and possible complications, as well as ways they can manage the condition, including simple steps to control portions and the importance of getting regular exercise. Presentations will include a healthy food cooking demonstration each week.

The class will be held from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 10, 17 and 24, at the OSU Extension Greene County offices, 100 Fairground Road. Melanie Hart, Family and Consumer Educator, and Tonya Lively, a registered dietitian from the Greene County Combined Health District, will lead the sessions.

The program is $35 per person, but seating is limited, so participants are asked to sign up by Aug. 5 by calling 937-372-9971 ext. 112 or ext. 116, or by emailing [email protected] or [email protected].
