Bookin’ and Cookin’ Book Discussion Group: Miller’s Valley for adults 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1. Bring food to share while the group discusses the recent book by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Anna Quindlen. Miller’s Valley is Mimi’s story of family, memory, loss, and true identity. Registration required.

Nursery Song & Sign with Dorie for ages 6-23 months with adult, 10:30-11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2. Registration required.

Music Jamboree with Dorie for ages 2-5, 11:15-11:45 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2. Registration required.

PAWS for Reading for ages 5-12, 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6. The Miami Valley Pet Therapy Association brings dogs and maybe a cat to the library.

Lunch with the Librarian: A Book Club for Homeschooling Kids for grades K-8, 12-1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6. Bring lunch and anything you’ve been reading. Have lunch together and talk about books. Registration required.

Music FUNdamentals for ages 2-6 with adult, 10:30-11:15 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7. Registration required.

Ancestry Basics: Find Your Folks for adults, 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8. A Librarian demonstrates what the Ancestry Library Edition database has to offer, and how you can use it to explore your family tree. Registration required.

Friday Family Movie, 4-5:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9.

Writers Group for adults, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 24. Shared leadership, feedback, inspiration and support. Suitable for writers with current projects, as well as those starting out. Registration required.

Creative Craft Hour for Adults: Wet Felting & Needle Felting for adults, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10. Work with fibers to create a beautiful textile project. Use quality art materials and learn new techniques. Registration required.

Bigfoot in Ohio for adults, 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10. The Ohio Night Stalkers present audio recordings, footprint castings and firsthand accounts of encounters. Registration required.

Heart of Darkness Book Club for grades 6-12, 3:30-4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12. Do books about vampires, zombies, ghosts, and other supernatural creatures give you a thrill? Join library staff to discuss this month’s book and enjoy snacks. Registration required.

Bookworms Book Club for grades K-2, 4-4:45 p.m.Wednesday, Sept. 14. Are you a beginning reader who loves books? Enjoy crafts, games, and snacks while discussing this month’s book. Registration required.

Gamers’ Night Meetup for adults, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15. Board games, cards, tabletop RPGs. New and seasoned gamers welcome. Learn to Knit Mittens for adults, 1-4:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24. Participants must know how to knit & purl, cast on/bind off, and increase and decrease. Registration required.

Mystery Book Discussion: My Sister’s Grave for adults, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28. Join the group to discuss the first book in the Tracy Crosswhite series, by Robert Dugoni. Her sister was murdered 20 years ago, but Tracy has not stopped looking for answers. Wanting to obtain real justice, she becomes a homicide detective with the Seattle PD, and dedicates her life to tracking down killers. Registration required.

Bulb Forcing for Winter Blooms for adults, 6-7:15 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29. Learn about flower bulbs and pot a bulb to force at home. Registration required.
