BEAVERCREEK — Extreme’s One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning has announced it will be an active participant in the annual United States Marine Reserve Toys For Tots Program for the fifth consecutive year. Local campaigns are conducted in over 700 communities in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
“We’re always excited when this time of year comes around, and it is time to support this amazing program,” said Allie Ganino, Extreme’s Marketing and Sales Coordinator. She noted that toy donations can be made at both Extreme’s locations – 712 N. Fairfield Rd. in Beavercreek, or 54 Hiawatha Trail in Springboro. Toys should be new and unwrapped.
This year Extreme’s One Hour will give each person who donates a toy a discount their next service or installation.
“Each year we collect thousands of very nice toys. We are appreciative, especially in this economy when many families are still struggling,” she emphasized. Ms. Ganino pointed out that Extreme’s is accepting donations until December 10.
In 2012, over 170,000 children in the area benefited from this program. This year’s need is expected to be greater according the U.S. Marine Reserve.
Begun in 1947, Toys For Tots’ objective is to help less fortunate children in the United States experience the joy of Christmas, and to unite members of local communities in a common cause during the toy collection and distribution campaign. Over the years, Toys For Tots has been named Best Children’s Charity and one of the Top 10 Charities. Toys For Tots has collected more than a half-billion toys since its inception.
“We hope people will respond more than ever this year!” Ms. Ganino concluded.
